Friday at 4 p.m., Callum and I sat on the front steps of my house, waiting for Jason to arrive. We each had a small tote bag with a few changes of clothing and some clean underwear and socks. I also had my dad’s credit card and his warning that he would be watching the account closely the next three days, so no funny business. The credit card was in my wallet, next to three condoms, extra large. I hoped they would fit Jason. When Jason pulled up, we couldn’t contain our excitement. Our faces must have been glowing, because Jason smiled when he saw us and began laughing as he got out of the car and walked around to the back. “What’s so funny?” I asked with a pout. He grinned some more and pointed at us. “You two. You look like you’ve won the Superbowl and you’re headed for Disneyland!” He lifted the trunk lid and tossed my bag inside next to an Adidas bag. I blushed, thinking that his clothing must be in there. That would mean his clean underwear and mine would be separated by only two layers of thin plastic! “This is better than the Superbowl!” Callum exclaimed, pulling my attention back to the conversation. “It’s Triple Theat!” Jason pulled Callum into a sideways hug. “We’re going to have a great time, right? Win or lose?” Callum wrinkled up his nose. “Win! We’re going to win, Jason! Think positively.” Jason grabbed Callum’s bag and tossed it into the trunk. “Right, Callum. That’s what Coach tells us before every baseball game. Picture yourselves lining up to shake hands after the game, telling the other team, `Good game,’ and smiling because you had a GREAT game.” Jason turned to me and grinned. “You ready for this, Kenji?” I nodded. I was ready. For everything. For a great tournament and a great weekend with the man of my dreams. *** For the ride down, we agreed I would sit up front and Callum in the back. Then we’d switch it up for the ride home. The first hour driving was a bit of a blur for me. We talked about school and baseball and other stuff that barely registered in my conscious mind, because I was thinking about the hotel and how Jason would react when he learned we were all sharing the same room. I had informed Callum with great confidence of my plan to blame it on a registration foul-up, but I was beginning to have my doubts. Would Jason believe it? Or would it cause a rift between us, perhaps ruining the weekend altogether? Or–my heart skipped a beat–would Jason love the idea and slip under the covers, sliding his naked body next to mine, enfolding me in his arms, finally giving in to his desire to kiss me and make sweet love to me, sliding all seven inches of his thick manhood deep into my body, making me scream with the delicious agony of his penetration? “Hey! Why are we heading west? Isn’t Palo Alto south?” Callum’s questions startled me out of my reverie. Jason chuckled. “We’re taking a slight detour. It will add an hour to the drive, but I thought you guys might like to see something special.” “Where are we going?” Callum asked. “Not saying,” Jason replied. “It’s a secret, although it probably won’t take you long to figure it out.” I looked around. A sign gave the distance to Oakland, San Francisco, and Alcatraz Island. Turning to Jason, I raised my eyebrows and asked, “Planning a detour over the Golden Gate Bridge?” He laughed and shook his head. “I keep forgetting how smart you are, Kenji. Is that okay with you two? It means we’ll be getting into Palo Alto a lot later tonight, but I thought you’d enjoy a bit of site-seeing on the way.” “Heck, yeah!” Callum shouted from the back seat. “I’ve never been to San Francisco.” “There’s a place near the bridge that serves incredible hoagie sandwiches. I thought bahçelievler escort we’d eat there, if you want.” I took out my phone, called my dad, and explained the change in plans. He agreed, thanking me for having the foresight to let him know we’d be eating in San Francisco. Otherwise, he’d have wondered about the charges showing up on his card. He asked me to put my phone on speaker, then he thanked Jason for making the trip special for us. Jason assured my dad that he was happy to do it, because we were like the little brothers he’d never had. I ground my teeth in frustration. I didn’t want Jason thinking of me as his little brother. Somehow–I wasn’t sure how just yet, but somehow–I had to change that. *** The hoagie sandwiches were incredible. So was the view. We sat in an outdoor cafe, munching away as we watched the sun set behind the Golden Gate Bridge. Then we took a short walk, sipping our drinks and enjoying the warm evening breeze blowing in off the bay. Jason surprised me at one point by taking my hand and holding it. I looked up at him, questioning him with my eyes. He simply smiled and squeezed my hand gently. Maybe he didn’t think of me as his little brother after all. *** As we drove to Palo Alto, I went over the signs I’d be using to send Jason his moves during the games. We talked about ways to make the signs more subtle. Brushing my hair sometimes instead of touching my forehead. Scratching my ear or chin instead of pointing. Callum–of course–suggested picking my nose rather than touching it. I reached back over the seat and tried to swat him, but he dodged away, moving to the far side of the back seat. Jason simply laughed at us. It seemed to me that we were coming together, not just as a team, but as friends. Then Jason dropped a bomb on us. “Guys, I hope this isn’t too big a disappointment for you, but there’s a problem with the hotel arrangements,” he said. I almost wrenched my neck, whipping around to stare at him. Had he checked with the hotel and discovered the change I’d made? What was he going to do about it? I looked at Callum and gulped. He shrugged his shoulders at me, silently communicating his concern. “A, ummm, problem?” I stuttered. “Yeah. I know we were originally scheduled for three nights, but it will have to be for two nights only. We have to leave for Sacramento as soon as the tournament is over, because I have an exam first thing Monday morning.” My relief must have been obvious. Callum, with his usual inability to conceal his emotions, fell back into the seat with an exaggerated sigh. Jason continued, “I found out just this morning. Our professor decided to offer a make-up exam for the test we took last Monday, and I can’t pass it by. I need to bring up my grade in the class any way I can. Hope you guys don’t mind.” “Why would we mind?” I asked. “You’re going out of your way to take us to Triple Threat.” Jason glanced in the rear-view mirror at Callum. “You okay with that, Callum?” “Sure,” Callum said, grinning tentatively. “No problem, Jason.” “Did you notify the hotel that we’ll be checking in late tonight?” Jason asked me. “Yes, but I should let them know we won’t be there until 9 or so.” I took out my phone and called the number I had saved in my contacts, putting my phone on speaker so everyone could hear. A pleasant female voice answered. “Thank you for calling the Hilton Garden Inn. This is Jessica. How may I help you?” “Oh, yes, this is Kenji Nakamura. We have reservations there for tonight. I’m calling to let you know we’re on our way and should be there in an hour or so.” “One moment please, Mr. Nakamura.” Callum snorted and giggled from the back seat. “MISTER Nakamura,” he said with a chuckle. I glanced back at him and gave him a dirty glare. “Yes, Mr. Nakamura. We’re have your reservation for a late night check in. One room, two queen size beds, three nights stay.” Jason looked at me, frowning. “Ummm, you said one room?” I asked, trying to sound surprised. “Yes, sir. One room. Three nights. Is there a problem?” I tried to avoid looking at Jason. “Yes, ma’am. We reserved two adjoining rooms.” “One moment, please,” Jessica requested. A moment later, she bakırköy escort said, “Yes, I see the original reservation was for two adjoining rooms, but someone cancelled one of the rooms two weeks ago.” I glanced at Jason briefly. He didn’t look angry. Concerned, perhaps, and a bit perplexed, but thankfully not upset. “Well, we need two rooms,” I said, trying my best to keep up the pretense. “I understand, sir. Let me check for availability.” We heard the sound of a keyboard clicking, then Jessica said, “I’m very sorry, Mr. Nakamura. We have no rooms available tonight, although we can move you to two adjoining rooms tomorrow and Sunday night.” “What do you guys want to do?” I asked. Jason shrugged. “One room is fine. We can make it work.” Callum agreed of course. He knew what I’d do to him if he didn’t. I spoke into my phone. “One room will be enough, Jessica. Thank you for your help.” My dad insisted I always be polite, especially when speaking to people who were providing me with a service. “You’re very welcome. Again, I apologize for the mix up on your reservation, Mr. Nakamura. I’ll be applying a ten percent discount as a courtesy for any inconvenience this has caused you.” My dad would be happy to hear that. “Oh,” I added quickly, “we’re also checking out Sunday. So we won’t need the room Sunday night.” “That won’t be a problem, Mr. Nakamura. I’ll make that change.” One less night AND a ten percent discount. My dad will be ecstatic. I disconnected the call and smiled nervously at Jason. “I don’t know what happened, Jason. I’m sorry.” He shook his head. “Don’t sweat it, Kenji. It’ll be fine.” Now I felt ecstatic. I glanced back at Callum. He wiggled his eyebrows at me. Obviously, he was happy. Despite all my fears, everything seemed to be headed in the right direction. Now, all I had to do was figure out how to get Jason to sleep with me. *** We walked into the room and looked around. There were two beds, queen sized, more than big enough for two guys to sleep next to each other. A table and a plush chair. A love seat, which might be big enough for Callum, as short as he was, but I wasn’t planning to have him sleep there. No, that was not on my agenda. Jason tossed his Adidas bag on one of the beds. “College bed,” he said, then pointed at the other bed. “And high school bed.” I looked at Callum, signaling with my eyes for him to say what we had rehearsed. He rolled his eyes at me, but stepped forward and said, “Ummm … I don’t know how to say this, Jason, but that makes me a little uncomfortable.” “Really? Why is that?” Jason asked. Callum peeked at me and said, “Kenji and I are good friends, but we’ve never slept in the same bed. It would be a little strange, since I’m straight and he’s gay. You understand, don’t you?” Jason gave us both a you’ve-got-to-be-kidding-me look. I jumped in. “We all need a good night’s sleep with the tournament starting early tomorrow. Maybe it can be the Straight Guy Bed–” I pointed at one bed. “–and the Gay Guys Bed.” I pointed at the other. Jason shook his head and chuckled. “Or–” He picked up his bag and tossed it on the love seat. “–Straight Guy Bed, Gay Guy Bed, and Gay Guy Sofa.” He took one of the pillows off the `Gay Guy Bed’ and tossed it onto the love seat. “I’ll sleep over here. You guys take the beds. Like Callum said, you need a good sleep tonight.” Jason began unbuttoning his shirt, motioning for us to follow his lead and get ready for bed. *** I awoke and sat up in bed. The bathroom light was on with the door cracked open, shedding a bit of illumination into the room. Callum was snoring gently in the other bed. Jason was curled up in the love seat, no doubt extremely uncomfortable. It was far too short for his long body. This was absolutely not what I had planned. I ground my teeth in frustration, then tossed the blanket aside and swung my legs out of the bed. Standing up, I tiptoed to the love seat, touched Jason on the shoulder, and gently shook him. “Jason,” I whispered. He turned over and opened his eyes. “What is it, Kenji?” “I can’t do this to you. You’ll never get any sleep on this couch.” “It’s not that bad,” he said. I balgat escort tugged on his blanket, trying to pull it off. “Come on, Jason. Get up.” “What do you want, Kenji?” “I want you to take the bed.” “And where will you sleep?” “I want to sleep with you, but I guess that isn’t going to happen.” My voice cracked with disappointment. Jason sat up and patted the couch next to him. When I sat down, he put his arm around me and pulled me into his side. “I’m sorry, Kenji. I can’t let it go that far.” I looked up at Jason. “I know. But if you wanted to, I would let you.” He grinned. “If I wanted to?” “Yeah. I’ve been dreaming about this for weeks now, but I guess you don’t like me … that way.” “Oh, Kenji. Of course, I like you … THAT WAY. I do. You’re incredibly sexy, and I’m absolutely attracted to you.” “Then why can’t we do this?” I didn’t mean to whine, but I’m sure it sounded that way to Jason. He shook his head at me and asked, “You really have to ask me that?” I bowed my head. “No,” I admitted. “I can list a hundred and fifty reasons why we shouldn’t.” He squeezed me against his side. “But it doesn’t change how you feel, does it?” “No. I can’t help it, Jason. I’m just so confused. One minute, I want you so bad I’m willing to break laws, lie, cheat, and steal to have you. The next minute, I’m beating myself up for putting you in danger like that. I love you and I want you, but I don’t want to hurt you. Do you understand?” He leaned his head over against mine. “I understand perfectly, Kenji.” “I guess it’s because I’m fourteen. My hormones are making me crazy. At least, that’s what Callum is always saying. I wish my body would stop messing with my head and let me be normal for a change.” Jason chuckled. “When you figure out what normal feels like, let me know. I’d like to try it myself.” I snuggled up closer to Jason and nuzzled his chest with my cheek. His chest was covered with a light layer of curly hair, and it tickled my face when I rubbed against him. “This feels nice,” I whispered. He pulled me close and rested his cheek on the top of my head. “Yes, it does.” “I suppose it wouldn’t be considered appropriate by most people, but I don’t care. I like it.” He squeezed my shoulder. “So do I.” “I wish we could stay like this forever.” He chuckled. “We might have a pretty bad day at the tournament tomorrow. Sleep deprivation is not the best way to prepare for chess.” I nodded. “We should go to bed and get some sleep.” I pushed off Jason’s delightfully hairy chest and stood up. Reaching down, I took his hand and pulled him to his feet. “You can have the bed, Jason. I’ll sleep with Callum.” “What will Callum say in the morning? Won’t he be upset?” “Only if I fart on him. We sleep together all the time when he spends the night.” “So, all that stuff about him being uncomfortable sleeping with a gay guy …?” “We made it up,” I admitted. “I asked him to say that so I’d have an excuse for sleeping with you.” Jason chuckled. “I’m an idiot,” I said. Jason placed his hand tenderly on my cheek. “You’re not an idiot, Kenji. You’re an adorable, sexy kid who has a crush on a muscular college hunk.” I snorted. “You got the `muscular college hunk’ part right.” “I got all the parts right,” Jason insisted. “You ready to sleep?” “Yeah,” I reluctantly said, walking slowly toward the bed where Callum was still snoring away. Jason grabbed my arm from behind and turned me around to face him. He pointed at the bed where I’d been sleeping and asked, “Would you like to sleep with me?” I smiled, excited. “Y-y-yes,” I stuttered. “Just sleep! Nothing else,” Jason added. I nodded. “Okay.” We crawled into the bed, with me on one side and Jason on the other. It wasn’t what I wanted, but it was still wonderful to have my sexy college athlete sleeping under the same blanket, only a foot away. I turned on my side, with my back to Jason, and smiled. It was better than nothing. I felt the bed shifting. Jason slid over behind me, wrapped me in his arms, and spooned up behind me. With a satisfied sigh, I pushed back into his firm body, loving the feel of his skin against my own, his warmth covering me, his strength enfolding me. His cock was a bit chunky, pushed up against my butt, but I didn’t mind. And strangely, I didn’t want anything more than that. I fell asleep with his arms wrapped around me, content to feel him holding me in his arms. The end of THE LOVE HACKER, Chapter Nine. What can I say? I didn’t expect that either. Nor did I expect what happened the next day …
